Hot.. hot.. hot.. that's what I can say about the current weather in Delhi. It's just April, in the mercury have reached 45. Last week the temps are between 40 to 45, which usually in May or June. These three days are 'only' 34 to 39. What a relief.. wait.. what?

However, we should be thankful with the weather, much of the strangers who just met wouldn't have talk without it.

As Kim Hubbard saying," don't knock the weather, nine-tenths of the people couldn't start a conversation if it didn't change once in a while."

How true, unless you come from Indonesia or other Asian countries, when conversation probably will begin with "have you married yet?" or other questions which is considered personal in the western countries.

Dan hilanglah sudah

Baru sekarang saya liat-liat lagi blog saya yang sudah lama terlupakan (maafkan saya blog...). Baru tersadar banyak gambar-gambar yang ada di blog ini saya simpan di account geocities saya (bummer!!)

Sekarang Geocities sudah ditutup. Sesal tiada guna. Sekarang harus korek-korek lagi arsip foto di hard disk saya lalu berusaha menghidupkan lagi gambar-gambar di blog ini, kalau mood mengizinkan....

Eniwei, sudah dua tahun lebih saya di India, banyak cerita yang ingin saya share ke dunia, apalagi kalau bukan perbandingan kehidupan antara Jakarta, Melbourne, dan New Delhi?

Ah nantilah ai ceritakan kalau sudah mood. Untuk sementara nikmati dulu gambar-gambar klasik berikut...

A note for my impedimency

Hi me,

It's been months since you wrote your last notes on life. Well, maybe the rainy season that poured over Indonesia since last February had also poured your thoughts away. I hope not so.

Many had happened since then. The biggest floods Jakarta ever face in its recent history, peace at last in Aceh, new Busway corridors in Jakarta, the most devastating transportation accidents, mud flows that is getting bigger in East Java, and ah yes.... you will be posted in Delhi I heard.

India, the land of magics, mystiques, religious people (and extreme poverties). The land of magnificent architectures, Bollywood, colourful dresses (and hard headed non-stop talkers). The land of beautiful rivers, highest mountains, fastest steppes (and biggest floods and dry lands). The land of tastiest foods, amazing diversity of humans, (and class and religious fights that never end). India the land of many beauties and contrasts. Do you looking forward to go to your post in there, me?

Many you can look forward to, but the most important thing is to do you job properly for the country you serve. Give your best service for your countrymen because that what you are paid for.

Soleil does pours all over me

The title of this web log is let soleil pours over you, which means I expect the sun will shine over you in a cold, windy day. That was then when I was shivering in the cold Melbourne. I don't expect as much soleil anymore though, due to the obvious heat in this here land. But it's getting ridiculously too much sun for the past weeks.

It has been like a month* since the last rain drops touch the earth here resulting in ridiculously hot days which is too much to bear for me. Not to mention the smoggy air of Jakarta which refused to clear up even though there are not as much cars as before the long Eid holiday.

The rainy season is supposed to be here already, yet not even a drop of rain fall. I don't know if this is the result of the green house effect that people talk about so much.

* I heard in the Southern Jakarta some rains has already developed. I wonder when they will reach West Jakarta?
